Smartinvestor : The markets have witnessed profit taking for the past four weeks. What strategy should traders adopt ahead of Nifty Feb F&O expiry and the Union Budget both on Thursday?

Navneet Daga : Well number of choices on index strategy are limited since big event on same day, expiry and union budget. We belive nifty will find strong resistance near 5890 and 5950 on every rise, and downside is also protected near 5800 levels where major build up on puts is visible.

Smartinvestor : DLF is also active today in the options segment at various strike prices of Rs 280-290 both for Put and Call side. What is your take for Feb options expiry?

Navneet Daga : Well most strongest in the real estate and nifty pack, lots of hope on positive annoucement on union budget on real estate side keeping the hope alive for DLF

Smartinvestor : Idea has been gaining traction from Rs 95 onwards. The stock is also trading firm today. Is there a build-up of long positions in the telecom major and what is your call for Feb futures expiry?

Smartinvestor : LIC Housing has corrected from Rs 285 levels since the first week of February. However, the stock has firmed up today. Data shows that there is decline in OI. Is there a build-up of short positions in the stock and what is your call Feb futures expiry?
