Wockhardt tanks on US FDA import alert report
The stock has lost nearly 14% on the Bombay Stock Exchange in trade today
SI Reporter Mumbai Wockhardt has plunged nearly 14% to Rs 406 on media reports that the U S Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) issued an import alert for the drug maker's Chikalthana facility at Aurangabad.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, shares of the pharmaceutical company had dipped 4% after the company dropped from the MSCI India index. MSCI is a leading provider of benchmark indices globally.
The stock opened at Rs 462 and touched high of Rs 467 in early morning deals on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). A combined 3.33 million shares have changed hands on the counter till 0945 hours on the BSE and (National Stock Exchange) NSE.
