Zinc futures for May traded 55 paise, or 0.54% lower at Rs 102.10 per kg in 228 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the April contract fell by 50 paise, or 0.50%, to trade at Rs 100.40 per kg in 415 lots.

Prices fell largely in line with subdued spot demand.

Weak trend in the entire base metals in the global markets amid demand concern on lower-than-forecast growth in the US and China, led to the fall in zinc futures prices here.
