Zinc futures down 0.6% on weak Asian markets

Subdued spot demand had a negative impact on zinc futures prices

Zinc futures for April fell by 60, or 0.58%, to Rs 102.30 per kg 1,173 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract fell by 90 paise, or 0.58%, to trade at Rs 103.45 per kg in 30 lots.

Subdued spot demand had a negative impact on zinc futures prices.

Weak trend in the entire base metals in the Asian markets after Chinese manufacturing data missed estimates that raised demand concern in the biggest consuming nation, led to the fall in zinc futures here.
