Hyundai will be launching the Verna facelift on the 16th of February. The Korean automaker has been keeping busy as it has been updating the Verna from time-to-time. Since its launch in 2011, the Verna has been updated twice already. But those were minor upgrades as in mid-2013 it got an upgrade in its suspension set-up and the 2014 Verna got daytime running LEDs with projector headlamps as an add on.

The Verna facelift is similar to the Solaris that is sold in Russia. The updates on the Verna facelift includes a new front grille, which is larger than before and has multiple chrome slats too. The headlamps are now hawk-eye like and even the fog lamps are larger. These are again projector headlamps with daytime running LEDs in them. The fascia looks more mature than the outgoing version and Hyundai's designers have worked hard to make it look a bit different. There are some styling elements of the Sonata in it and this is clearly visible.

On the inside, the Verna Fluidic will be a change in its trim-line. We aren't sure if any new additional features could be loaded. With most of the competition now getting touch-screen system, we could expect Hyundai to add that but otherwise the Verna comes loaded with a lot of features. There were talks of introducing a six-speed automatic transmission on the petrol variant, however that hasn't been confirmed yet. Hyundai's Verna was the market leader until the new City and Ciaz entered the market.
