Kabul [Afghanistan], Jan 03 (ANI): At least one United States soldier has been killed and four others have got injured during a "combat engagement" in the eastern province of Afghanistan.
The Tolo News quoted the U.S. military on Tuesday as saying in a statement that the incident took place in the Achin district of Nangarhar.
The injured are being treated at a medical facility and two of them are in stable condition, the statement added.
Achin is amongst the worst-hit provinces, mostly struggling with the Islamic State terrorists since 2015.
The United States has targeted both Taliban and IS in Nangarhar, who often clash with each other in the region.
