Rajinikanth is indeed the Thalaiva, who can make biggies like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan take a bow before him.
While SRK dedicates song to Rajinikanth in his film, Salman turns up uninvited to event just to see him.
Amidst the first look launch event of the sequel of 2010 Tamil superhit 'Enthiran' yesterday, surprising all and sundry, the Bhaijaan of Bollywood turned up.
When filmmaker Karan Johar, the host of the evening, called the 50-year-old actor on stage, he said, "I have just come to see him (Rajinikanth). I think he is the most amazing man known. I have a lot of respect for him. I was not invited. I got to know that the launch is happening here, so I just turned up."
Calling him Akki, Salman spoke about Akshay Kumar, the antagonist in the flick, "I think he is one of the most talented actors we have. I have worked with him. He is phenomenal. I think, if anyone have had a growth in his acting career, as a performer, from our side is only Akshay Kumar. We all remain stagnant, but he the only one who keeps on growing. Akki is one of the most hardworking, dedicated actors we have."
Further during the chitchat with KJo, the 'Sultan' star, in a light-hearted manner pulled the Dharma Production Head Honcho's leg, "I am very happy to be here. I just saw the teaser and I think it is fabulous. Shankar makes the largest films. Why don't you (Karan Johar) do?"
Later during the event, Rajinikanth, returning Salman's compliment, thanked him for attending the event, "If Salman says yes, I'll work with him in a film even tomorrow."
'2.0,' gearing up to hit the theatres on Diwali 2017, also stars Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain.
