20 killed because of lightning in Andhra Pradesh(Update)

At least 20 people were killed after lightning struck in different parts of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday as heavy rain lashed the state under the impact of low pressure over Bay of Bengal.

Four people died each in Nellore and Prakasam districts, three in Guntur, two in Krishna and east Godavri district and one each in Anantpur and Srikakulam.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had announced four lakhs, each to be given as ex-gratia to the families of victims who were killed due to lightning.
