James Robertson, who made news for walking 21 miles commute to and from work for 10 years, was in for a surprise of his lifetime when he received a new car as a gift.
A local Ford dealership invited Robertson to test drive cars and surprised him with a new red Ford Taurus, ABC News reported.
The Detroit man, who has been walking to work since his car broke down 10 years ago, asserted that he loved his new car and if only his parents could see him now.
The 56-year-old man used to leave his home in Detroit early each morning to get to work at 10.55 dollars per hour factory job in time for his 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. shift.
