Bihar Police today recovered eight crude bombs from a Malda passenger train at a railway station in the state's Kishanganj District.
Assistant sub-inspector of police (ASI), Government Railway Police (GRP) Anil Kumar Singh confirmed the report.
The bombs were found inside a packet during a raid in a coach of the train.
The bomb has been diffused, but the GRP is still investigating into the matter.
The presence of bombs despite regular patrolling of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and GRP personnel at the station has brought the security under question.
The government has been facing criticism firstly after the recent hike in rail prices and secondly the recent blast in Dibugarh Rajdhani Express.
