867 festival goers dressed as Superman break world record

Hundreds of music festival visitors made a momentous attempt and donned Superman costumes to break a previous world record and raise money for a charity.

The event known as 'Kendal Calling', which was held in the Lake District, saw 867 people dressed up as Superhero, which broke the previous best of 566, the Daily Express reported.

The feat, which was done by costume firm Escapade, raised 1,000 pounds for Help For Heroes.

Director of Escapade, Bhupendra Maisuria, said that they were thrilled to have helped make history.
