'99 Songs' to mark A.R.Rahman's production debut

Musical maestro A. R. Rahman is all set to make his production debut and is making a musical film.

Titled '99 Songs,' the Tamil-Hindu film will be a musical that tells the story of a singer through a soundtrack of 10 songs, reports the Dawn.

Rahman, who has also written the film, describes it as a sensual story about art and self-discovery. He also planned to direct the film, but then handed over the reins to 'The Dewarists' director Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy due to time constraints.

Yesterday, Rahman shared the official poster of the film on Facebook, which was praised by Bollywood actor Aamir Khan.
