Aaron Eckhart has been roped in with Tom Hanks in Warner Bros.' Captain Sully Sullenberger biopic, which will be directed by Clint Eastwood.
According to Hollywood Reporter, Hanks will be playing the lead role of captain Sully, whereas the 'I Frankenstein' actor will be playing the role of a co-pilot, Jeff Skiles, who was the first officer on the Airbus A320 and manually flew the plane when the birds crashed into the engines, helping captain in safely landing the US Airways plane.
Sully is a pilot who safely landed his plane full of 155 passengers in the Hudson River when both the engines of his plane were knocked out by a flock of geese and after that "Miracle on the Hudson" he was named as the "Captain Cool".
The movie is produced by produced by Eastwood, Tim Moore and veteran producers Allyn Stewart and Frank Marshall.
