Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Wednesday said that additional security measures are being taken along the International borders and the Line of Comtrol (LoC) ahead of U.S President Barack Obama's visit of India.
"Adequate security arrangements are in place for Obama's visit," Parrikar said.
The minister also stated that expansion in the defence, trade and technology sectors with the United States can be expected during the visit, adding that proposals will soon be finalised before being sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for approval.
Parrikar also said that problems get resolved if a country establishes cordial relations with friendly nations.
Earlier in the day, Parrikar met his Russian counterpart Sergey Shoigu.
