Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai, who is in India on a three-day visit, will meet Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh here this evening.
Security, infrastructure development and peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan are likely to figure prominently during their talks.
This is Karzai's second visit to India in the last six months.
President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday conferred Honorary Doctorate to Karzai at Phagwara in Punjab. Karzai will also meet Mukherjee and discuss issues of mutual interest.
Afghanistan and India are long-term strategic partners and are committed to cooperation in defence and civilian sectors.
