Australian teenage cricket star Ashton Agar has teamed up with former Test spinner Greg Matthews as he tries to reclaim a berth in the national side for the Ashes series.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the teaming of Australia's latest sensation with one of the most colourful players to have played the game for the country in the past 30 years is the idea of former Test opener and Western Australia coach Justin Langer.
Agar sought the counsel of Matthews two weeks ago, while the Warriors squad was in Sydney for the Ryobi Cup and was given a 'fine tuning' of his action by the former NSW great, the report said.
Agar said that he had a good bowling session with his new coach in the nets, adding that he came up with some interesting ideas and puts a different perspective on spin bowling.
