The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday arrested an assistant Garrison engineer posted at the Agra Cantonment for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 50,000 from a contractor to approve bills.
A case has been registered against the accused on a complaint alleging that he was demanding a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from the complainant for clearing his pending bills.
The CBI laid a trap and the accused was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting bribe.
The accused was produced today in the designated Court.
