At least three people died while three others were admitted to a hospital for treatment after allegedly consuming toxic liquor.
"Yesterday five people went from here and they illegally had alcohol. They (the alcohol sellers) had been arrested earlier but were set free later. The shops were supposed to be closed but nothing happened. The villagers had also opposed it but they never listened to us," said a villager.
One of those admitted in the hospital is currently undergoing treatment for his eyes, while two others are also in a serious condition.
