Air India on Monday alleged that the reports published by flight data firm FlightStats listing it as the third worst performing airline in the world to be fabricated, assuring that the management will investigate the matter till the end.
"We totally disagree with the report published by an agency about Air India. Initially it seems that the report is fabricated, so Air India management will investigate the report till the end," said Dhananjay Kumar, Spokesperson of Air India.
Air India, has been listed as the third worst performing airline in the world in a recent survey by FlightStats.
Apart from Air India, the ten worst carriers list included Air China, Hong Kong Airlines, Philippine Airlines.
The firm's survey highlighted issues over cabins, service quality, and flight delays.
However, Air India is not new to controversy, as recently a flight from New Delhi to New York left behind the luggage of 227 passengers at Mumbai airport.
Before this, complaints of serving cockroaches in a meal and misbehaving with passengers also came to light.
On February 15, last year an Air India aircraft with 194 people on board had a narrow escape after a faulty landing.
Flights were delayed several times and earlier in January last year, as many as 225 passengers were left stranded in Budapest after their London-Mumbai Air India flight was diverted because of technical reasons.
