Known for his intense and character driven roles, Ajay Devgn is all set to return to a film rooted in reality.
Trader analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news of Devgn's casting on Twitter.
The two-time National Award-winning actor will play a no-nonsense income tax officer in 'Raid', which will be helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta.
Set in Uttar Pradesh of the 1980s, the movie, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Kumar Mangat, has been scripted by Ritesh Shah ('Pink' and 'Airlift' fame).
The movie will go on floors in September and the release date has been set as April 20, 2018.
