Ambedkar statue vandalised in Punjab

Unidentified persons have vandalised a statue of BR Ambedkar in Punjab, triggering off protests against the act in the state.

According to reports, the statue, which had been installed at the Palahigate Mohallapark, was found damaged on Sunday morning. Angry protestors filled the streets, blocking traffic on the busy Phagwara-Hoshiarpur road.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Police have registered a case against unidentified culprits for the same.
