Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Sunday held a meeting with his party leaders from Uttar Pradesh as efforts to firm up the party's strategy in the Samajwadi Party-ruled state which goes to polls next year.
The meeting was attended by senior Uttar Pradesh leaders, including Om Prakash Mathur, Laxmikant Vajpayee and Sunil Bansal.
The BJP is yet to announce its state unit president as it has not yet identified a suitable candidate for the post.
Shah also discussed the BJP's strategy for the upcoming three by-elections in Deoband, Muzaffarnagar and Bikapur.
Organisational structure in Uttar Pradesh was also discussed.
