Apple's next iPhone 6 and Samsung's Galaxy S5 are unlikely to have a curved display according to industry analysts.
Analysts have said that the curved display found on Samsung's Galaxy Round and LG's G Flex won't be seen in the next iPhone or Samsung's Galaxy smartphone as the Samsung Display and LG Display are unable to produce enough screens for their existing curved phones.
An analyst at Seoul-based Eugene Investment and Securities, Kim Jong-hyun said that the current capacity for flexible panels is not high enough for the Galaxy S5, which will be launched early next year, Cnet reports.
He further said that curved one will be unveiled late next year as a Galaxy variant rather than as a flagship model.
Another analyst pointed that it would be difficult for Apple to adopt a curved display next year, though 2015 might be more plausible, the report added.
