Indian cricket team's strength and conditioning coach Shanker Basu has been replaced by Anand Date for the upcoming limited overs series against England starting January 15.
In a press release, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said, "BCCI would like to inform that Team India strength & conditioning trainer Mr. Shankar Basu has opted for a break from the Paytm ODI Trophy - 2017, Paytm T20I Trophy - 2017 against England and one off Paytm Test match to be played against Bangladesh in February 2017 for personal reasons."
Apart from the England series, Date will also remain as Team India's conditioning coach for the lone Test match against Bangladesh in February.
Basu had joined the Indian team in June, 2015.
