Apple has been testing a new service that will allow Siri, its personal assistant, to take calls and transcribe voicemails.

According to the Verge, the new service is called iCloud Voicemail. It will allow the users to set custom voicemail responses, letting certain callers know where they are and why they cannot take their call.

It is unknown if the system would require carrier support.

It is also not clear if it will be free. The company is reportedly testing the service and is not scheduled to launch until 2016.
