As Apple's much-awaited watch went up for online pre-order on Friday, almost one million (957,000) people made their bookings online on the first day itself.
According to TechCrunch, Apple watch's less expensive Sport model emerged as the most popular model among buyers with 62 percent of U.S. customers pre-ordering it.
U.S. online commerce market research firm, Slice Intelligence, said that the average spent by all Apple watch enthusiasts, who pre-ordered the wearable device, was 503.83 dollars. Apple Watch's Sport model buyers, on the other hand, spent an average of 382.83 dollars per watch while those purchasing the mid-priced Apple Watch spent 707.04 dollars on average.
The report said that shipment fulfillment dates ranged between late April and early May initially but extended well into June later on for many models.
