The Indian Army has foiled another infiltration bid by the militants along the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara districts last night.

According to television reports, the Indian troops retaliated to firing after the troops on the Pakistani side opened fire last night.

This was the 19th ceasefire violation by Pakistan since August 6 when five Indian soldiers were killed in cross-LoC firing.

Further details are awaited.
