A 46-year old Lieutenant Colonel of the Indian Army on Friday allegedly committed suicide in his house in Delhi's Dwarka area.
The aforementioned officer, identified as Lt. Col Jagdish Prakash was found hanging from the grill near the stairs in his residence in Salaria Apartment, Dwarka.
A native of Kerala, Prakash served as an officer of the Indian Army's Corps of Engineers division and was posted at Kashmiri House, Rajaji Marg in New Delhi.
The incident came to light when the police received a call regarding the alleged suicide. On the basis of primary investigation, the police have registered a case of suicide, although no suicide note was recovered from the site.
