Around the world in 245 days

There's going to be an around-the-world sailing lasting 245 days.

Viking Cruises, which is planning to set a new record for a continuous world voyage, will kick-start its trip from London on August 31, 2019, on the 930-passenger 'Viking Sun,' USA Today reported.

With stops at 113 ports in 59 countries, the ship will visit every continent except Antarctica.

The cruise will start with a trans-Atlantic crossing that includes stops in Iceland, Greenland and Canada. The voyage will resume with visits to ports along the east coast of the USA and in Bermuda and the Caribbean before travelling down and around South America.

From South America, 'Sun' will move up the west coast of Central America and the USA before crossing the Pacific to French Polynesia, New Zealand and Australia. From Australia, the ship will set sail to Asia for stops in Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Singapore, Sri Lanka and India.

The trip will end with a passage through Suez Canal to the Mediterranean stopping at various countries like Italy, Tunisia, Spain and Portugal and back to the United Kingdom.

The fares for the trip on the 'Viking Sun' will start at $92,990 per person (63,55,401.55 INR).
