The flood situation in Assam remained grim due to incessant rains in the Dhubri District on Sunday.
In Assam, five deaths have been reported during last 48 hours due to flood. With this, the death toll due to flood and landslide has gone up to 46 in this year.
Official sources said that the army, NDRF and SDRF have carried out rescue and relief operations.
Around 10 thousand people have been evacuated in Morigaon and Nagaon districts on Friday.
According to reports, nearly 2 lakh people have taken shelter at relief camps and 352 villages have been submerged in Barpeta district.
