Assam: National parks, sanctuaries reopen for tourists today

In Assam, all national parks and sanctuaries reopened today for tourists after annual monsoon closure.

Forest minister Pramila Rani Brahma said that the state government this year decided to advance the opening of parks for a month for the benefit of visitors.

Brahma has attended the reopening program at Kohora range of the Kaziranga national park. She said that a procession will be held in Guwahati on this occasion.

Kaziranga and Manas national parks are the prominent tourists destination of Assam.
