England's assistant coach Paul Farbrace has said that their captain Alastair Cook retains the full support from their dressing room.

Farbrace said that Cook is their leader, captain and he is got the full backing of their dressing room, despite the skipper having scored only 22 as England closed the fourth day of the second Test against India at Lord's on 105-4, chasing 319 to win.

Farbrace said that everyone saw how the people in the ground genuinely wanted the skipper to get runs, adding that the people are behind him, The BBC reported.

Farbrace said that they want Cook to carry on as their captain, adding that he's a good man, a good captain and is getting better with every game.

On a wearing fourth day pitch on Sunday, Cook lasted 93 balls of mostly dogged defence before he was tempted into playing at a ball from Ishant Sharma and edged to wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Cook has now played 27 innings without scoring a century and his recent innings against India has left England staring at a defeat, the report added.
