Aurangabad railway track blast possibly Maoist attack, says Bihar CM

Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi said here on Wednesday that the blast that occurred on the Delhi-Howrah railway track in Amamasilva village of Aurangabad district was possibly a Maoist attack.

"It was possibly a Maoist attack, the officers are collecting more information and we are trying to find out why it happened, currently the situation is stable," said Manjhi.

Last night, Maoists blew up Delhi- Howrah railway track in Amamasilva village near Aurangabad district of Bihar.

The incident was reported to have taken place around 11.30 p.m. on Tuesday, no casualties were reported.

The blast took place amid tight security that was stepped up by the Indian railways yesterday in Gaya after the Maoists has called for a shutdown.
