A three-year-old LKG student of a private school in Bangalore was allegedly raped by her school teacher on Tuesday.
The girl was subjected to medical tests on Tuesday before being admitted to a private hospital. Media reports say that Bangalore police commissioner M N Reddy visited the school yesterday and has ordered an investigation into the matter.
Angry parents whose kids are also studying in the same school are now protesting outside the school premises.
"Only from the newspaper I got to know about this incident and only through the news channel we got to know that this was the branch and the school where this shocking news has come. We are really shocked. We are waiting for the management to come down so we know what has exactly happened in the school," said a parent whose child studies in the same school.
"Even my daughter studies in the same school. We didn't get any complaint about her safety in the bus or in the school premises. We were really happy by the facilities in the school. But as this shocking news has come, we are really worried and we are waiting for someone to come and tell us what exactly happened," the parent added.
Another parent, Raghu, whose two daughters study in the fifth standard and first standard in the same school, said, "I am really shocked and I have come here to know from the management what actually has happened."
This incident of sexual abuse in a city school has occurred almost three months after a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two gym instructors inside the premises of another private school in Bangalore's on July 3, when she had gone to the washroom.
The accused were arrested three weeks after the incident on July 29 and remanded to judicial custody pending investigation.
