Turkey captain Arda Turan has been signed by Barcelona from Atletico Madrid for an initial fee of 24 million pounds.
The La Liga champions, however, have insisted that the deal for the midfielder could reach 29 million pounds with potential add-ons, the BBC reports.
However, with Barcelona facing ban in which they are unable to register new players until 2016, Turan will not be able to play for the club until January.
Barcalona were banned from signing players in 2015 after being found guilty of breaching FIFA's rules on the transfer of players under the age of 18.
He has scored 22 goals and provided 32 assists in four seasons with Atletico after joining from Galatasaray in 2011.
