The mystery of where The Simpsons reside may have been solved after an American astronomer noticed a clue in a recent episode of the animated series.
Astronomer Phil Plait observed in the episode titled 'The Musk Who Fell to Earth', that Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk gazes out of the Simpsons' dining room window at a waxing crescent moon where northern hemisphere the "tips" of a waxing crescent moon was pointing to the right, not to the left like in the episode, the Verge reported.
The mistake or clue, therefore, suggests that The Simpsons actually reside in the southern hemisphere.
Plait suggests that this could be a major clue, which would mean The Simpsons has taken place on another continent this entire time.
