Beyonce will perform at 2014 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) and will also be awarded with Michael Jackson MTV Video Vanguard Award, it has been revealed.
According to MTV, the Vanguard award was given to exemplary musicians who have made an unbelievable and long-lasting impact on pop culture, CNN reported.
MTV said in a statement that not many singers had the power or ability to command such a massive legion of fans, drop a number one album out of literally nowhere and took the world by storm tour after tour.
MTv further stated that the 32-year-old-singer has proved repeatedly that she was the standard to which all other performers must measure up.
Beyonce has been nominated for eight awards which is the maximum for anyone this year.
