The Chandigarh High Court will hear activist Sudha Bharadwaj's transit remand case tomorrow in connection with raid and subsequent arrest of the activist in the Bhima Koregaon violence. Until then, she is under house arrest.

Speaking to ANI, Faridabad Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Nitika Gahlaut said, "Sudha Bharadwaj will be produced before the high court tomorrow, till then she is under our supervision. Bharadwaj is barred from talking to media but can meet her advocates in connection with this matter".

The Faridabad Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) had granted transit remand for Bhardwaj but later the Chandigarh High Court intervened and granted a stay on the transit remand. The case will be again heard tomorrow by the same high court.

The raids conducted yesterday were carried out in Mumbai, Ranchi, Hyderabad, Faridabad, Delhi, and Thane. Till yesterday, Varavara Rao, Arun Ferreira, Gautam Navlakha, Gonsalves and Sudha Bhardwaj were arrested following the raids that were conducted by the Pune Police. The police have booked all these accused under Sections 153 A, 505(1) B, 117,120 B,13,16,18,20,38,39,40 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

In January, violence erupted in Bhima Koregaon during the gathering to mark the 200th anniversary of the Bhima-Koregaon battle. A youth died and several others, including 10 policemen, were injured in the incident.
