Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday spoke to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the situation arising due to storms in various parts of the state and assured him all assistance from the Centre.
"Spoke to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar ji on situation arising due to storms in various parts of the State. Assured all assistance from Centre," said Prime Minister Modi.
"Home Minister Rajnath Singhji will be visiting Bihar to take stock of the situation", he added.
At least 42 people died after deadly storms struck Patna, Purnia and Madhepura districts of Bihar.
The state government announced an ex-gratia of Rs four lakh for the victims' families.
