Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) chief Bimal Gurung on Wednesday claimed innocence in the murder case of All India Gorkha League president Madan Tamang and expressed hope that this matter would be resolved in the coming days.

"This is a matter of the High court. I am innocent. But since my name has been sent to the court, this matter would be resolved in the coming days," Gurung told ANI here.

The Calcutta High Court had yesterday directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to arrest Gorkha Janmukti Morcha leaders, including its chief Bimal Gurung, in connection with the Madan Tamang murder case till the disposal of their anticipatory bail plea.

Following this, Gurung and 10 others had moved the Calcutta High Court for anticipatory bail.

According to reports, the CBI will produce a comprehensive report on

the investigation into the murder of the All India Gorkha League

president. Tamang was hacked to death in the heart of Darjeeling on

May 21, 2010.
