Bird-hit Jet Airways flight makes emergency landing in Kathmandu

A Jet Airways flight, travelling from Mumbai to Kathmandu, on Monday made an emergency landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport here.

According to reports, Jet Airways flight 9W268 had to make the emergency landing after it was hit by a bird while approaching the destination. All the 125 passengers and six crew members aboard are said to be safe.

Engineers from the airlines are currently inspecting the aircraft and trying to assess the damage.
