Janata Dal (United) leader K.C. Tyagi on Monday said that his party had made Jitan Ram Manjhi the chief minister of Bihar whereas the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made him a beggar.

"We made Jitan Ram Manjhi the state's chief minister and the Bharatiya Janata Party made him a beggar," he told ANI.

Tyagi further said that Manjhi has betrayed the trust of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and would never be accepted in the JD (U).

"The party leaders will decide whether he will be accepted but there is no place for betrayals as of now," he said.

Meanwhile, a meeting between BJP chief Amit Shah and Manjhi is presently underway at the former's official residence here regarding the seat-sharing deal for the Bihar Assembly polls.
