The Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday staged a protest against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Somnath Bharti, who is booked in a domestic violence case on the basis of a complaint filed by his wife Lipika Mitra.
Former Mayor of Municipal Corporation of Delhi and BJP leader Arti Mehra was leading the protest in Malviya Nagar near Bharti's residence.
A Delhi court had issued the warrant against Bharti in domestic violence and attempt to murder case filed by his wife Lipika.
The court had earlier refused to grant anticipatory bail to the AAP MLA.
