Thespian Dilip Kumar's autobiography titled 'Substance and Shadow' was recently launched by Bollywood biggies, including Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Dharmendra in Mumbai.
Speaking on the occasion Subhash Ghai, superstar Aamir Khan and Bollywood beauty Madhuri Dixit said it was big day for the industry and they were all looking forward to reading the book.
"It's a big day and I have been always been a big fan of him and I was eagerly waiting for the release of this book, as I wanted to read about his life, his work and his experiences. I am really thrilled that finally that day has come, and we all will have that book in our hands and we will be able to read it," said Aamir Khan.
The event was hosted by Karan Johar and was attended by Bollywood personalities like, Jeetendra, Vijayanti Mala, Zeenat Aman, Javed Akhtar, Salim Khan, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Raju Hirani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Riteish Deshmukh and Kiran Rao among others.
Expressing her happiness on the occasion, Dilip Kumar's wife and veteran actress Saira Banu said "Yusuf Sahib's autobiography is being released today. All of you please pray that the amount of efforts we have put in this for all of you gets successful and you all like it even more".
'Substance and Shadow', is authored by Uday Tara Nayar, a close family friend of the Bollywood thespian. It chronicles the life of Kumar right from his childhood, his career, and the ups and downs in his life, his family and more.
