The Broadway theaters recently honored late Mike Nichols by dimming lights, it has been reported.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Nichols, who was married to veteran ABC News anchor Diane Sawyer, died on November 19, 2014.
The German-born American film and theatre director was 83 who had a net worth of 20 million dollars and has won more Tony Awards for best direction of a play than any other individual, taking home trophies for Barefoot in the Park (1964), Luv and The Odd Couple (1965), Plaza Suite (1968), The Prisoner of Second Avenue (1972), The Real Thing (1984) and Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman (2012).
Nichols was one of only a dozen people to have won the coveted EGOT, taking home an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony Award.
