Capitol Hill to host Awesome Con

Capitol Hill will play home to Awesome Con, a three-day event that celebrates comic books and science fiction at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center starting Friday.

According to a press release from the convention, the group, which is trying to organize the largest group of people dressed as comic book characters for the event, said that at least 1,531 people would be required to break the record, the Washington Times reported.

A judge from Guinness World Records will be present to verify if the precious record, set by Chinese theme park, World Joyland, based on the World of Warcraft video game in April 2011, is broken.
