Hollywood rapper Cardi B (name
According to TMZ, the ex-manager, who sued her for a whopping USD 10 million in April, claiming that Cardi B had cut him off financially.
She further claimed that the manager tried to gain control over her career as well, in addition to her personal life.
On June 5, Cardi B filed her countersuit, wherein the documents mention that Shaft, the manager, had set up a management deal with her.
The deal, according to her, was one-sided as Shaft tried to bag around 50 percent from the Sony music publishing deal that Cardi B signed for.
She claims Shaft also tried to control every aspect of her life -- putting "barriers between her and people close to her in an effort to maintain complete control over her."
In the suit, she says that bled over into her dating life, with Shaft telling her "who she should and should not see romantically."
In the month of June, Cardi B claimed that she married Offset in a secret wedding ceremony.
