Caroline Wozniacki reaches Australian Open final

Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki has advanced to her first Australian Open final over Belgian Elise Mertens here at the Melbourne Park on Thursday.

The second seed thrashed Mertens, world number 37 with a 6-3 7-6 (7-2) victory to edge closer to win her first Grand Slam title.

Wozniacki will next face top seed Simona Halep or 2016 winner Angelique Kerber in the summit clash.
