Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced today that it has created a Facebook page for its solid-state illumination (SSI) light source projectors.
The page will host on-site reports from InfoComm 2016, an audiovisual trade show to be held in Las Vegas, U.S. from June 8 to 10, and provide information about product features of Casio projectors, ways of use, and examples of applications.
Casio initially launched the projector Facebook page in February to report on Integrated Systems Europe 2016, a trade show where the company exhibited its new projectors.
Following the page's success, Casio updated and rebranded the page 'CASIO Projectors Global' to continue offering useful product information.
Shigenori Ito, senior executive managing officer and senior general manager of the Global Marketing says, "The new Facebook page will be a platform for providing up-to-date information about Casio lamp-free projectors to users and non-users alike. Because Casio projectors are lamp-free, they save money on electricity and lamp replacement costs over its lifetime. These features have been praised by educational institutions, government offices, and corporations that have chosen our projectors."
Casio is a leading manufacturer of projectors, and holds a global market share of 73%* for SSI light source projectors with 2,500 lumens or more, which is bright enough to use in a fully lit room. Moreover, Casio developed a laser & LED light source ahead of its global competitors and succeeded in making all of its projectors SSI models in 2010.
The projectors are not equipped with lamps that contain harmful mercury, and come with a variety of features that have become popular with consumers, including an 'instant power on/off function.'
Casio aims to help to reduce the burden on the environment by promoting the shift to a lamp-free standard in the projector market.
