The U.S. Tennis Association on Tuesday has announced that the US Open men's and women's singles champions will earn a record 3.3 million USD each at the tournament, which is up by 10 percent as compared to 2014.
The total tournament purse will be 42.3 million USD, which is 10.5 percent more than the previous year. The payout for each round in singles is also going to rise by at least 10 percent, Sport24 reported.

The runners-up will be receiving 1.6 million USD while a player who loses in the first round will make 39, 500USD. The winning doubles teams get 570 000 USD.
